About a year ago I've purchased a box of really sweet Cuties clementine oranges. They are a perfect snack anytime of the day. I just love how easily they peel. The ones I've purchased were small and it was just too hard to eat one. They are great for kids because they are seedless.
I like my oranges cold so I put them in the fridge or in my laundry room. Cuties Citrus recommends putting them in the fridge for longer freshness.
Clementine is a variety of a mandarin orange. Clementines are sweet and juicy, usually seedless and easy to peel.
Some facts about these sweet gems:
*As with all citrus fruits, they are a good source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that can guard you against heart disease and cancer. It's also an immune booster.
*It's a good source of folic acid. Folic acid is essential in cell division. People who lack folic acid become anemic, fatigued, and have a poor appetite. It also prevents birth defects which is why it's necessary for pregnant women to take a daily supplement of folic acid.
*Clementines are high in potassium. This mineral helps regulate blood pressure and heart function.
*It's a good source of fibre and getting enough fibre aids in preventing heart disease, cancer, diabetes, gallstones and kidney stones.
All in all, clementines are packed with wholesome goodness. They are cholesterol free, low in sodium, and free from fats and trans-fats.
You'll see them around the Christmas holidays a lot so stock up on your Cuties this season.

Great info about clementines. I am a new vegan so all the nutritional info is good to add to my knowledge.
