Summer and Sunscreen
Sunday, 5 June, 2011
The weekend is gorgeous! If this is any indication of what summer will be like...I love it and bring it on! I'm so ready.
For us Vancouverites who don't get to see a lot of the sun, when it's sunny and warm out a lot of people tend to forget or skip wearing sunscreen. It's ok to be out in the sun without sunscreen for a little while because it's one way of getting vitamin D.
The commercial type sunscreens contain a lot of harmful chemicals. I'm finding there are natural products that also include natural or safer sunscreens. The key ingredient to a natural suncreen is zinc oxide. Avoid sunscreen that have oxybenzone, PABA, parabens, Padimate-O and Parsol 1789...basically anything that sounds like a chemical.
Here's some really great information about summer, the sun and sunscreen.
And since the Stanley Cup Finals are still going and just two more wins away...
Go Canucks Go!
